Hiking the Snow Field Above Goat Lake, Sawtooths, Idaho
On the way up we hiked on top to the snow field. Rick decided to hike underneath the snow on the way down. There was a cavern all the way through the snow/ice. At the top the ice was about 10 feet thick.

Once the hike to Goat Lake gets more vertical, several falls are seen along the route. The first image is the lowest falls. Once at this falls, you must retrace the route making for the ridge line to your left as you hike away from the falls to reach the lake.

Alaska Basin Lakes
Two small lakes in Alaska Basin. The flowered path at bottom connects the two lakes above. Anne and Dave Duke camped around the rock outcrop on the right of the bottom photo. They might want to know where they were in relation to the photos.

Ben and I camped here on our way to Hurricane Pass. Incredible alpine meadow.
